Therapy offers a consistent and compassionate space — somewhere meaningful change can begin, at your pace, with support. I create a space where we can gently explore the experiences that have shaped you, with care, respect, and curiosity, so you can move forward feeling more connected, grounded, and supported in who you truly are. Therapy doesn’t have to start by retelling trauma, often, beginning with how those experiences show up in daily life show up in everyday life can be a powerful place to begin.

YOU MIGHT BE HERE BECAUSE:

  • You’ve always felt emotionally out of place, like the outsider in your family or relationships.

  • You carry a quiet sense of unworthiness, even when life looks "fine" on the surface.

  • You people-please, doubt yourself, or struggle to say what you need.

  • You feel lonely or disconnected, even around others.

  • You’ve experienced difficult family dynamics.

  • Your emotional needs are often missed or not understood.

  • You long to be fully seen, but fear closeness might hurt.

  • You struggle to trust — yourself, others, or the world around you.

  • You’ve been told, or told yourself, that your experiences weren’t "that bad," but something still hurts.

  • ·You may not have words for what you’ve been through — only that something feels off or missing.

  • You feel like you’re constantly treading water, overwhelmed and unsure where to begin.

  • ·You’re stuck, but don’t know how to move forward.

  • ·You’re trying to make sense of your past and how it shaped you.

  • You feel emotionally disconnected from yourself or others.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step and I’ll meet you where you are. There’s no pressure to have everything together, only a willingness to explore at your own pace.

“Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness''

HOW THIS SHOWS UP IN EVERYDAY LIFE

Romantic Relationships:

  • Finding it hard to trust, express your needs, or feel emotionally safe

  • Fear of being “too much” or not enough in relationships

  • Avoiding intimacy or losing yourself in people-pleasing

  • Repeating patterns with partners that leave you feeling unseen or unfulfilled

  • Feeling confused about what a healthy relationship even looks like

Friendships:

  • Feeling on the outside, even in groups where you're supposed to belong

  • Struggling with one-sided dynamics — always giving, rarely receiving

  • Difficulty trusting others or letting people get close

  • Withdrawing out of fear of being a burden, too much, or not enough

  • A sense of loneliness, even when you're not physically alone

Family Relationships:

  • Feeling like the outsider or “black sheep” in your family

  • Difficulty setting boundaries or managing guilt around relatives

  • Longing for closeness but fearing contact with certain family members

  • Grieving an ongoing relationship that still doesn’t feel safe or supportive

  • Considering, navigating, or recovering from estrangement or going no contact

Mental Wellbeing:

  • Ongoing feelings of sadness, overwhelm, or emotional flatness

  • Anxiety that feels hard to explain or manage

  • Struggling with self-doubt or intrusive thoughts

  • Feeling stuck in cycles of overthinking or shame

  • Exhaustion from constantly keeping it together

Work:

  • Burnout from perfectionism or always striving to prove yourself

  • Difficulty saying no, setting limits, or asking for support

  • Feeling unseen or undervalued in professional settings

  • Struggling with focus or motivation, especially under pressure

  • Holding back your voice due to fear of criticism or failure

Health & Functioning:

  • Living with undiagnosed or late-diagnosed neurodivergence

  • Feeling like you’re always “too much” or “not enough” for the world around you

  • Struggling to regulate emotions, constant low energy, sleep, or emotional overwhelm

  • Navigating health issues that leave you feeling out of sync or disconnected from your body

  • Internalising shame around needing rest, flexibility, or different support

These challenges are not flaws, they’re often deeply understandable adaptations to environments where your needs weren’t met, your voice wasn’t heard, or where you had to stay small to stay safe.
