MY APPROACH
Therapy with me is a space for curiosity, emotional depth, and honesty. It’s not quick-fix therapy, it’s deep, relational work for people who are ready to explore with intention and courage. This work isn’t always easy, but it can be life-changing. I’ll walk alongside you with steadiness, warmth, and a deep commitment to your process.
I’m a Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, offering a warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed perspective. In this confidential space, I aim for you to feel truly heard, understood, and accepted for who you are. My approach is grounded in the belief that many of the difficulties we experience, emotionally, relationally, and physically, are adaptations to environments that didn’t fully meet our needs. These patterns often helped us survive, but may now be keeping us stuck, disconnected, or struggling to feel safe in ourselves or with others. Therapy with me is relational, developmental, and collaborative. We’ll explore how your past may be shaping your present, gently, at your pace and begin to untangle the ways you’ve had to adapt. This work can support you to reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been silenced, shamed, or forgotten.
I bring a genuine, grounded presence to my work. Clients often tell me they feel accepted for who they are, without judgment. I believe that authenticity and deep acceptance are powerful foundations for healing, especially when earlier experiences have left you feeling misunderstood, dismissed, or silenced. This kind of relational experience offers a new way of being, helping you not only understand yourself more deeply but also begin to feel safer in connection with others. It helps to repair what may have been missed or misattuned in the past.
As a humanistic therapist, I place you at the centre of the work. I believe that healing happens not through advice or instruction, but through relationship, one that is consistent, attuned, and accepting. I see you as a whole person, not a set of symptoms and hold deep respect for your emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual experience.
My integrative approach allows me to draw from a range of therapeutic models, including attachment theory. No two people are the same, so therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all. I respond flexibly to what you bring, while also holding a bigger picture of how early experiences may still echo in your life today. Working collaboratively, I guide the space with care and ethical responsibility, helping build the trust and emotional safety needed for meaningful change. The relationship we build together can offer insight into other relationships, while also being a space where healing itself can happen.
You’re welcome to bring whatever feels important, however big or small. I’ll listen with compassion, and when helpful, may gently challenge what you bring, always respecting your readiness. This space is somewhere your needs and feelings can be expressed without fear, guilt, or shame, especially if that’s something you haven’t experienced before.

HOW THERAPY WITH ME CAN HELP YOU
WE'LL WORK COLABRATIVELY TO;
-
Explore how early relational experiences and other life events have shaped who you are today, and how they influence the way you relate to yourself and others
-
Gently identify patterns such as people-pleasing, avoidance, or perfectionism, and understand the role they’ve played
-
Build self-awareness around your emotional triggers and begin responding from a place of choice rather than automatic survival responses
-
Recognise and attune to glimmers, those subtle moments of safety, connection, or ease, both in life and within the therapy space
-
Develop emotional regulation by understanding how your nervous system responds to both threat and safety
-
Experience a safe, attuned relationship where moments of rupture and repair can support healing in real time
-
Begin to differentiate between familiar but harmful dynamics and what safe, mutual, and healthy relationships can feel like
-
Practice clear and compassionate communication, including boundary-setting and expressing your needs, within the safety of the therapeutic relationship
-
Reconnect with your emotional world and allow space for vulnerability without fear of judgement or rejection
Therapy offers a consistent and compassionate space to explore all of this, a place where meaningful change can begin, at your pace, with consistent support.
My approach is humanistic and integrative. The humanistic part places you at the centre of the work, with a focus on collaboration and a belief that meaningful change happens through the relationship we build together. The integrative side means I draw from a range of therapeutic models, because no two people are the same, and therapy shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all. This allows me to respond to what you need in the moment, while also holding the bigger picture of how your past experiences may still be shaping your present.
